THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS
The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is a premier professional organization for architects in India. Established in 1917, the organization's goal is to promote the architectural profession and providing a platform for the architectural fraternity to exchange ideas, experiences, and expertise. IIA plays a significant role in shaping the architectural landscape of India by engaging its members through seminars, workshops, conferences, exhibitions and much more. Regular publications including monthly journals and magazines disseminate knowledge and showcase outstanding works of Indian architects. IIA consists of 24 chapters and 70 centres.
Impressions
“Impression” is a curated architectural exhibition that brings together 100 diverse design studios from across Kerala. It serves as a collective platform for firms to present their unique philosophies, signature works, and creative journeys. Through drawings, models, visuals, and narratives, the exhibition offers a glimpse into the evolving architectural language of the region—rooted in tradition yet embracing innovation.
Expressions
“Expression” is a dynamic and fast-paced Pecha Kucha session featuring 30 architects, each given 5 minutes to present their ideas, philosophies, or favourite works. In this vibrant format, storytelling meets design, allowing each architect to express what truly defines their practice — be it a personal journey, a powerful concept, or a moment of creative clarity.

IIA State Convention
The State Convention of Architects marks a significant moment for the architectural fraternity of Kerala, serving as the grand culmination of a vibrant two-year term. Bringing together architects from across the state, the convention is a space to reflect, reconnect, and renew our shared commitment to design and discourse. With engaging sessions, meaningful exchanges, and opportunities to meet peers old and new, this gathering celebrates the strength and spirit of our professional community.
